Kathy Petrino is a very happy and prolific traveler who wishes to see as much as she can while she’s still on this planet. Thankfully for everyone else, she also loves to write about all of her travels, so that others can enjoy what she has enjoyed. She believes it’s great to enjoy your travels, but it’s better to tell others, so the destination will thrive to the point that you can visit again and again. And one of her favorite travel destinations is the Coachella Valley in Southern California. Located in the middle of California’s Low Desert, she realizes it’s not quite as popular as it was when the Rat Pack ruled the area in the 1950s and 1960s, but there is still much to like about the place.

For instance, Kathy Petrino notes the nostalgic vibe that transforms visitors the timewhen Frank and Dean and Sammy ruled Palm Springs, which is at the center of the region and the most popular destination in the Coachella Valley. The entire area features many fully-restored hotels and rental homes that will take you back to the post-War 20th Century. There are also numerous festivals to celebrate including the Coachella Music Festival, one of the most popular such festivals in the country. The Low Desert also is a veritable paradise for hikers and rock climbers, and travelers also love the lunar landscapes of nearby Joshua Tree National Park, and Salvation Mountain.

Kathy Petrino thinks of herself as something of an explorer. She is a very happy and prolific traveler who wishes to see as much as she can while she’s still on this planet and to write about it all, so others can enjoy the same sense of adventure. Best of all, everyone benefits greatly from her experience because Kathy loves to write about all of her travels. She apparently has a strong desire to share everything she experiences, so that others can experience what she has and visits again, to keep her favorite places thriving.

While she has many favorite destinations. One of her favorites just happens to be Southern California’s Coachella Valley, which is located smack dab in the middle of California’s Low Desert. While the area is not as popular as it once was back in the 1950s and 1960s, when the Rat Pack ruled the roost, there is plenty to recommend. The area features many fully-restored hotels and rental homes that will take you back to the old days, and there are many vintage stores to help you feel like you fit in. The area is a veritable paradise for hikers and rock climbers, as well.
